Generalitat de Catalunya, Culture Dept. support (2005-06)
For the period covering October 2005 to December 2006, the GERMINADOR project has been sponsored by Departament de Cultura of the Generalitat de Catalunya through the Funds for research and experimentation devoted to:
'...research projects, experimentation, analysis, criticism and curating, as a stage previous to the creation stage ' that gathers 'on one hand, those expenses resulting from researching and, on the other hand, those expenses related to the survival of the investigator while researching' (DOGC 4326)
The support has been realized (n.exp.477/2005) in a contribution of 15.600 € for the year 2005 and 2006. This financial assistance has allowed Jaume Ferrer and David Gómez from Taller d'Intangibles to devote a total of 568 hours during 15 months in tasks related to research, management and coordination of the project, and at the same time to pay the translation of the texts into Spanish and English, allowances of the guest contributors and other expenses generated by the development of the project.
IUA-UPF support
The project GERMINADOR is also sponsored by the 'Institut Universitari de l'Audiovisual (IUA) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) that is realized, among other things, in providing the infrastructures of the server the wiki operates in.
This back-up is framed within the research activities of the Taller d'Intangibles in collaboration with the grup de recerca sobre Experimentació en Comunicació Interactiva (EIC) that operate in the server netart.iua.upf.edu.

TAG Taller d'Intangibles
The GERMINADOR project comes out from an initiative of the artistic and research group TAG Taller d'Intangibles. Apart from the commitment of its members, the TAG provides for part of the infrastructure and materials used in the project and a basic organizing structure to permit the access for aids and salaries.
GERMINADOR 2007support +
During the first year the "GERMINADOR wiki" has been realizing as a collaborative resource on collective creation. Any group or individual is able to use it for their own projects or activities.
Volunteer contributions are welcome to keep on promoting the project and improving this resource. The pages "Contributing – How to?", "GERMINADOR Tasks" and "Providing proposals" set some guidelines on how to participate.
From January 2007, the GERMINADOR project is not economically sponsored. Any aid would be useful for consolidating the project and making progress towards tasks involving improvements, revision, translation and contents integration; for the organization of the activities; for the prototyping of the systems; or for the developing of sub-projects and of derived projects.
